Re: New Poll, do you keep or scrap MOCs for parts?

(...) Ignoring the flawed poll question, and jumping straight to the comments... I do always scrap my MOCS for pieces, although it often takes a while. I think that's one of the major beauties of building with LEGO rather than other media... you can (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Poll, do you keep or scrap MOCs for parts?

The survey is worded: "do you keep it together, or scrap it for pieces?" The possible answers are Yes and No. I'm not really sure how we're supposed to answer. Someone could answer for either the keep-it-together half of the question or the (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

New Poll, do you keep or scrap MOCs for parts?

Okay, so the other day I was packing up a few projects including my recent dragon for safekeeping, when suddenly a thought crossed my mind. (maybe I should just tear this thing apart for the pieces.) Of course, I shrugged off the thoguht and decided (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Where did the lego's go?

On one of my many recent ventures to the local shops I have noticed something that seems to be happening almost universally. Lego's are disappearing. I don't mean that they are selling off of the shelves but that they are just not there. I stopped (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Does this happen to you (when working on a new project)?

(...) You wouldn't believe how many times that's happened to me. It usually starts off with the excuse of 'some crazy idea I've been throwing around', then after a cup of coffee or two, I notice that a few hours have 'conveniently' slipped by and I (...)   Re: Does this happen to you (when working on a new project)?

(...) I used to pull "surprise" overnighters on a regular basis. Then my wife started to feel neglected. I took a quick look at my priorities and no longer do Lego stuff overnight. It wasn't a planed thing, I would simply start something and just (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Does this happen to you (when working on a new project)?

(...) Goodness, yes. I still remember one Friday sitting down at 9 pm just to play with an idea and see if I had the pieces for it. Next thing I knew my stomach was empty, my bladder was full, and the sun was rising. As if that wasn't good enough, (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Question for Todd

I loved the Lugnet torso stickers I received with my membership. Any chance we may see them again in the future? I'd love to turn my used Classic Space guys (with worn off logos) and transform them into Lugnauts! Dave (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Does this happen to you (when working on a new project)?

Hey all, After sorting my ISD into my collection, I started my most ambitous (or foolish, depending on the outcome!) project yet; making a Gunstar from "The Last Starfighter" (excellent pics of the ship here: (URL) I even had the chutzpah to think I (...)   Fibblesnork random LEGO name generator

Hello... I sure miss that thing. Todd used to have it at Fibblesnork.com, and although some of the contents of that web site were moved to lugnet.com, the Random Name Generator did not. Is there any hope of ever seeing it again? Thanks! Seth. (22 years ago, 24-Feb-03, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.general)

  Re: Name that part

Tom, thanks! I don't think I'll ever need to find one to build with, but I was just going nuts trying to ID it. Thanks, Andy (...) (22 years ago, 24-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: ozBricks Fans Websites

(...) Yaron, Cool to have this resource. Thanks! I didn't know about 60% of those sites. My site, Brick Tales, might be best under Castle. The largest portion of the site is dedicated to the Lord of the Rings story, and two of the other stories (...) (22 years ago, 24-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Mosaic: Auburn University logo

Hey Eric, Nice job. Is the War Eagle next? *ducks* Seriously, I like the idea of trying it studs-right. I might try that with my next mosiac.   LEGO Mosaic: Auburn University logo

Well, I bet I had a much easier time building the Auburn University logo: (URL) Anne did building her Florida Gators logo: (URL) thing I really don't give a damn about schools, football teams, or such, or we might get a LEGO rivalry started [grin].
