  Cleaning/Reparing electrical items

I know this is far from a new topic, and has probably been discussed before, but I thought people might be interested, or have something to add. I've received lots with electrical lego parts, and have had some success in cleaning them. You will (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Anyone Own a Xyron machine?

Hey, all! Anyone have a scrapbooking hobby and already own a Xyron? I was just wondering if the Xyron laminate/adhesive stuff would work well for torso and shield stickers? TIA, Tanya (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: 2x2x2 extreme-slope corners in red?

I think they're 2X2X3, but yes, it is good to see LEGO finally making some of those pieces again, no matter what color they're in. (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Fiber Optics

(...) I suppose it's the same kind as found in modern cell phones, true they are small and soldered but as long as the new one is put in the right way there should not be a big problem (if the new LED is of the same type of course). Best regards, (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

I have completed my 6 speed+Reverse transmission, and these are the specs: -0.54:1 ratio -width only increases by 2 or 3 studs (not quite sure yet-probably 2) -6th gear slot fits easily on top So the lows are the width increses and the ratio is (...)   Brickswest pics

I took very few pictures, mostly details of faces and pigeons, plus a couple of other things. That, and lots of pictures of the map. The dots ended up working a little different than I had expected. For the first two days at the park, the Legoland (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.general)

  Re: Fiber Optics

(...) I have one from the 8480 Space Shuttle. I've taken it apart (it comes apart with just a little effort and no damage), hoping that I could swap out the red LED for a white one. Didn't take any pictures, though. And swapping out the LED is not a (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

Cool Lego Site of the Week

Hi all, I was sort of surprised to see BZ Power near the bottom of the list on the most recent CLSOTW poll.   Re: Fiber Optics

(...) I used the fiber optics on a V8 for my 8448. I ran the fiber optics off the crankshaft so the lites would rotate with the engine. Heres's the Gallery link; (URL) There is also a Mpeg of the motor running in that folder. The mpeg picture (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: Fiber Optics

(...) I'm in no way a master of these units but here goes. (URL) at the picture found on the above URL; the top 2 x 2 stud area is the cable connection point. A standard 9V cable goes there and feeds current into the light inside. This is probably a (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Fiber Optics

I wonder if anyone could help explain to me how the Lego fiber optics work? And what you need to make them work. I do remember them from maybe 1995, but I bought a supercar and some other stuff, and just forgot about them until they were (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: 8448/8466 Gear Ratios

(...) No other ratios will work without reversing geartrain. Hoping to add working 6th forward gear tommorrow. Will make a 0.396:1 or 0.36:1 ratio. Hoping it is not too low to move 8448 easily. Otherwise I will add a 4 speed transfer case (like most (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
