Re: new 2003 sets -- Space Shuttle

(...) I'm sure Tim's dry-cleaner will be happy to know that he's "not a leaker." :) (No, I expect these are legit NTF pics and not leaks.) (...) I do hope they won't wait to release the set or pull it. It's the "Discovery", after all. But I'm not (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.general)

Re: new 2003 sets -- Space Shuttle

<snip> (...) I disagree completely. A new, highly detailed LEGO version of the Space Shuttle is a tribute to the ideals, visions, and dreams that propelled Columbia into space. The people who died on board died for that vision. They knew there were (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.general)

Re: new 2003 sets -- Space Shuttle

(...) In trying to keep discussion in correct groups I'm sticking to .modelteam and .general to talk about the beautiful new Space Shuttle set 7470. I'm assuming these are pictures from the Nuremburg Toy Fair, and that means these aren't leaks? I (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.general)

  Re: I couldn't sleep so...

Hi, I rarely follow lugnet discussions as I am busy with other things/hobbies, such as nursing my three children back to health this weekend. However, the continued stream of messages on this thread did finally cause me to look at one of the images (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.tx, lugnet.org.us.texlug)

  Worst LEGO experience

(...) There is a free weekly paper here called "the Advertiser." It consists of about eight pages of classified ads that can be placed for free, and survives on money from paid advertisements. I made a habit of scanning it for Lego as soon as I (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: I couldn't sleep so...

(...) Thanks for providing a little about what the images mean to you. It's a different interpretation than the immediate one that came to my mind upon seeing them. In case anyone was wondering, my immediate reaction to the images was to take them (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.tx, lugnet.org.us.texlug)

  Re: Divorce?

To get back to the point, here's my worst LEGO memory: When I was a kid - eh, younger - I tried very hard to make a wheel loader in LEGO. I tried and tried and tried but could not make it look like a wheel loader. I lacked the skill and got really (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Divorce?

(...) You are still cool with me dude. But I think you should ship your Optimus Prime to my house for safe keeping. I mean who knows what other lego creations she might be it out to destroy! You know if you REALLY think about the events that happned (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
