Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

Well, The final set designs are sure to cause some stir among LEGO maniacs. I think that alot of people had their expectations way high for the SW sets line. Maybe LEGO will have better and bigger sets in addition to these. At least I'm glad they (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

(...) I have not looked at RTL except for a very little bit during the beta of Lugnet. It's just much easier to handle this way. SArah Heacock sarah@eskimo.com (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I'm underwhelmed. The SW stuff doesn't really look like SW, and it doesn't look like Lego either. Maybe it's just the scans. I do like the Rock Beast (tm) in 4959. Now, the colored 40T gears (!) in the new Technic sets, those I could get into. (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

Re: LUGnet historical moment -- (was: Got 1999 mini catalog!)

Since LUGNET came online, I have switched to it as my prime LEGO news source. I have displaced R.T.L. to a second place. I get the feeling that many of you have done the same. I least I don't see the same level of posting from the well known folks (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Ok, so finally I got the scans ready and a quick web page to publish them, Go to (URL) and check out the new 1999 sets. Enjoy! - Irving PS: Sorry for the delay, but you know, we all got to work for a living (or is it to buy LEGO?) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

There is something to my claim! I just been busy with work. Unfortunately I cannot spend all day reading RTL/Lugnet. Once I get that dream job at LEGO them thing will change.
