  Lego arches

Hi, I was playing with the pieces from a 5571, and noticed the great setup for the 5th wheel. While looking at the other arches, I noticed that a 3stud wide one is missing in this set. Did Lego ever make a smooth 3stud arch? ____ |oooo| Cheers, (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Legoland passes in the mail?

(...) I wonder what they mean by "selection of Lego"? Does it include DACTA products? If it doesn't, then The Construction Site in Waltham, Mass. has the largest retail selection of LEGO in the entire U.S. (They have more shelf space devoted to LEGO (...)   Re: This is why TLG lost money

Then why didn't my friend see the Freestyle sets and say, "Ah, that's what I was looking for"? Maybe because the models pictured on the set look like something that would interest a 3-4 year old. By "dopey" pieces I mean the patterns they slap all (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: This is why TLG lost money

I'm not sure what you mean by Freestyle containing "dopey" pieces? Freestyle is the mainstay of a lot of RTLers who refuse to pay exhorbitant prices for sets that contain very few bricks and a bunch of highly specialized pieces that have no/little (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: ThrowBots elements are cool

(...) Hmmm... At a guess, then: Steve was officially tapped by the Lego Group to specifically *not* play-test the new Town Jr. sets. Am I right? Or am I right? Well, I know that would make *me* pretty ecstatic. :-, Cheers, - jsproat (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

This is why TLG lost money

  Re: ThrowBots elements are cool

(...) Hmm. Consumable LEGO. Everyone will have to buy more, because the old ones wear out. If I was paranoid, this would sound like a plot. Steve (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) It is starting to look better and better for me. At this point I'd say 66% probability that I and my family will be there. If you're not on Gary Louie's mailing list you need to be. Drop him a mail. (...) I'd say none, as that would require (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: ThrowBots elements are cool

(...) Well, Steve is being excessively clever, since he told some of us (including Terry and me) but said he wasn't going to say publicly till later. So we're in a bit of a bind. All this buzz about why he's happy has got to be giving the Stever (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
