  Re: New pics from LEGOLAND

(...) A) What's a rack railway? B) What're the details on the one in Houghton? Did they run it up the side of the MEEM? Nah, then the ROTC's wouldn't have anything to rappel... Steve (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Sets...

(...) The main SW sets will be out march/april, but the Episode one series models, of which there was a preview in the catalog, will be out july. Or at least, that's what I gathered. Jasper (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Sets...

(...) It's a bit of confusion on the part of the people who gave you those dates. The /regular/ catalog lists the SW sets as being available at the earlier date. The /direct/ catalog (i.e. Shop@Home) will not have SW until July. Hope that helps. J, (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Technic 1999

(...) Well, I would be a fool to insist on this, given only one picture. But if you look closely on the center of the piece, you'll notice that it's just the same as the white dish we had this year. Besides, I think you can see the outline of the (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New pics from LEGOLAND

(...) Sorry, I spelled the name of the sailing wessel incorrectly. The proper name is "Statsraad Lehmkuhl". Here's a picture of it, for those who are interested: (URL) even has the German harbour in the background, just like the LEGOLand images! (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Contest Ideas?

(...) The snow fell on The Strip. News broadcasts showed snow in front of Caesars Palace, and the Los Angeles Times had a front page photo of snow in front of the Mirage. Alan (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: why the 1999 catalog images have moved

(...) It would have cost ~$500/month if it had continued at that bandwidth rate. Obviously it would be going down after the 1999 catalogs appear in more stores, but on the other hand it could also have gone up by 5x or more if the readership of (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: why the 1999 catalog images have moved

(...) Ya, me too. I heard offline that this bandwidth bill was not that much scratch, it was just the trendline that was worrisome. Or so the rumor said. (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: why the 1999 catalog images have moved

(...) I've been willing to pay my dues for a while now. :) Especially if I can go ahead and lock in a prime piece of baseplate. (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: why the 1999 catalog images have moved

(...) Wow. All I can say is thanks a bunch for hosting them while you could. Do we need to pass the hat? :-) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
