  Re: Hmm

(...) Recent thefts at the office, (fortunately, not my Lego), has led me to not bring in stadium elements for a set-up, as they are a bit problematic to bring in and back home repeatedly. At work, I have the Shell pitstop, a Hovertron, Postie on (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  New pics from LEGOLAND

Just added another 50 pictures from my LEGOLAND visit to LEGO on my mind. Featuring the Netherlands, Scandinavia and monumental palaces and churches. Magnificent buildings, boats and trains. Note the details! (URL) Displays by LEGO from menu Eric (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New 1999 catalog images.

(...) Indeed. Those are the kind of finds that Lego should be famous for. A piece can be a flag for a (Guarded) Inn, or just the drapes on a ladies' carriage. A piece can be a flagpole, or a standard for a parasol, or a Space decorative part when in (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Firing Cannons in new Ninja sets :(

(...) Ooops sorry! They are there on page 18 - three cannons wif centre-pins. (...) Yeah, I thought of that after posting :) But then again - the Throw-Bots seem to bring up the Lego-Projectile issue - so perhaps after further lawyer-consulting they (...)   Catalog Format question

Maybe I missed information about this -- are pages 9 through 12 (the LEGO Mania 1999) a foldout centerfold spread? It appears that pages 6 through 8 and 13 through 15 are each three-page spreads, which would be consistent with a double-foldout (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Firing Cannons in new Ninja sets :(

(...) I didn't see any firing cannons in the the catalog scans. Oh, well. Even if they are there, I'll bet it's just an artifact of the pictures being taken in Europe, and Enfield not bothering to redo them to leave out the non-NA elements. It would (...)   More 1999 Catalog Thoughts...

Here's what I've been able to glean, and my thoughts... STAR WARS Looks great! Based on the catalog pics, it looks like the X-wing will have movable wings. Same with the snowspeeder - if you look closely at the catalog scan, you can see where it (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) Since Matthew's message (lugnet.general:1131) we've decided rather than compete, we'd put on one big show.
