I was thinking last week about a news service for Starship where each SM has a news reporter which reports on local in-sector events. It would be somewhat like Jain’s Guide, only exclusive to Starship.

“Reporters” from each sector would be able to make a weekly or so report on sector activities, such as what ships are where, how the government is, etc. This can range from anything regarding the sector IC.

Here’s my message:

The number of databases doesn’t matter in PHP. As long as none of the table names are duplicated its fine to store everything in one database.

I know PHP and MySQL and I could host such a site on my server. I still have 4.9 gigabytes of bandwith remaining... :)

I use another person’s forum (phorum.org) but I could easily create my own and do whatever I want. My new site

http://deepspace.jhkruer.com is made with a PHP code that allows me to update easily and automatically create thumbnails and a million other neat things.
