Yea, those are possibilities. One of my thoughts though was to simplify • the
suttlering. So that a few moments are needed to tell the player what ships • are
available (and if there's anything special about them) and then to tell • the
player what you'll give them for the treasure etc.

    Hmmm. I was trying to play the sutlering fairly quickly but even so
there's: Debauchery Fees, Recruitment, Buy/Sell ships, Repair ships... It
takes a bit of time.

How much suttlering did you have? We only had three ships make port, and • only
one took much time at all (Lindsay who was able to trade up on ships).

    I only had 2 ships reach port. The other thing is that I only had 6
players though, which probably sped things up...


Hmm, probably (hey, don't want to give ALL the secrets out...)

    Yup much more fun when the players don't know what the islands are
capable of - the look on my player's faces when the islander chiefs started
firing fireballs back at their ships was classic... Not to mention the
question 'so what's that big thing with the octopus for a head do?'...
