Re: BrickFest '07 Creative Badge Contest

Well as it turns out Tommy Armstrong of <www.brickengraver.com> has generously offered a $75 e-gift certificate for the winner of the creative badge contest! So get buildin'! THANKS TOMMY!!! SteveB PS Tommy says I'm no longer eligible since I'm the (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX) !!

Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) Then why did you say "last year's BrickFest brought in $13000 in profit for himself" (my emphasis) rather than "... for BrickJournal Media LLC"? (...) So again, why did you say "last year's BrickFest brought in $13000 in profit for himself"? (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) The word "profit" was Joe's: The total profit that went to BrickJournal Media LLC was about $13,000. This is in addition to the $3,000 that went to AMH Productions for use of the BrickFest name, as determined by an agreement that was signed in (...)   Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) --snip-- (...) Well people have a right to ask and if they are attending (and contributing to the profit) then they may have a reason to ask too. Peronally I'd be a lot happier paying more for a fest that's expensive because of expenses than (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: BrickFest PDX 2007 - who's getting paid?

(...) Here we go again. Well to say that Joe brought in a profit of $13,000 is not exactly correct as his total expenses, if I remember, were not delineated in his accounting . His labor and personal expenses, mileage, trip costs, etc were not (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: BrickFest '07 Registration Open - 10 more days

(...) That "someone" being me, of course... ;) I checked, and the box that says "Display my info on Who's Attending page" is indeed unchecked. Go ahead and check it if you'd like your name displayed there. Kelly (18 years ago, 14-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: BrickFest '07 Registration Open - 10 more days

Hi Will, I'm posting here cause it may be useful to others. There is a check box that will keep your name private if you so choose. You might want to look to see if that's what's happening. In the mean time I'll have someone check into it on the (...) (18 years ago, 14-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: Robot events at BrickFest 2007

i just checked the schedule, looks like the Mosaic speed build ends at 12:30 and the sumo competition starts at 1pm. that gives me 30 minutes to get something built and programmed. you better bring your batteries, cause now i do have time to make (...) (...) Sounds like a personal problem to me, Bob. I, on the other hand, can give my presentations, while building the Lego Star Destroyer entirely with my left hand, while my right hand programs my Sumo'Bot to destroy all who oppose me in the Sumo (...)
