  Re: What is this?

(...) It's an in-progress assembly of a giant statue of someone who has been crucified. I assumed that it was Jesus when I saw it, but the builder, Steve DeCraemer (SP?) told me that it was open to interpretation, and could be anyone who had been (...)   What is this?

Hi all, Can anyone tell me what this is: (URL) is on the back of that great castle. I can see a face and some limbs (?) with blood here: (URL) am curious. Jaco (19 years ago, 23-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Next Year?

As one of several BF'04 attendees who methodically took photos and deposited them with Todd Thuma for his BrickFest DVD (I myself tried to document everything in the Castle room, mostly from Minifig POV, and with a blue-sky backdrop -- thanks (...)   A few pictures, 2 short video clips : Brickfest 2005

Hi, everybody! I finally got around to publishing a few of the photos I took at Brickfest this year... everything was so amazing but I spent so much time talking with people that I hardly got to take any pictures! I thought folks might want to see (...) (19 years ago, 13-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) This is an interesting idea, though I think it's too big a job for a single person. Perhaps one person per room? I could almost see doing this in future years. I really got a lot out of being a judge for town/train which forced me to look at (...) (19 years ago, 13-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) One other thing would be to have BrickFest have a browser of all the MOC cards submitted. Won't necessarily show you which MOC is which (with no pictures), but for some you could probably guess. The bigger step would probably be allowing an (...)   Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) Why don't you just go to BrickFest and find all this info out for yourself? Maybe YOU could be the official photographer! :) -Rob www.brickmodder.net (19 years ago, 13-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) Yes! Now I see. (...) Ah, thanks for the link to that photo. (...) Orion was able to supply me with a hi-res photo of it, and from that it was clear that the builder is Mike Gibney, who I looked up on LUGNET and got in touch with over e-mail. (...)   Re: Who is responsible for this?

(...) As I recall, this was the runaway hit of the mecha room on public day. "Look mommy, it's a Thomas robot!" The pics of the mayhem on the train layout turned out great! (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

Can anyone tell me who built the model of Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005? (URL) That's pretty sweet (and of obvious interest to me since I'll have to build it myself eventually). Are there more photos of it? What's the deal with all the shiny (...) (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Who is responsible for this?

(URL) Just found it in one of the BF galleries (note that it was placed by Tim David in his folder after resize for the .trains sidebar much later) So.... who came up with this wonderful (not to mention hilarious) idea anyway?
