  Roommate for Brickfest

I am interested in finding a non smoking male to room with for Brickfest. I probably would want to stay at the Hilton because I can get free breakfast there. Contact me if you're interested. Probably both Friday and Saturday. ++Lar (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

I just called the top hotel on the list, the Hilton Arlington & Towers, and got a weekend rate of $89 + tax per day. This sounds like a pretty darn good rate to me. Call soon while the discounted rate applies. Cary (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Register for BrickFest (formerly Re: event "champions")

(...) I'm all for knowing how much space to set aside for MOC's Ahh.. but how else can we ensure that the good people out there register.   Re: event "champions"...

(...) I will try and bring as many ships as possible. During the game, the larger ships should generally be available for "display". I think we can do a pretty good display job by just having the table of unused ships near the entrance (or out in (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: event "champions"...

(...) ...Also, while I think about it. I know you are planning to bring all the ships and materials to the fest, but will you have "spare" ships for a historical pirate theme display?   Re: event "champions"...

(...) I was thinking we could have some kind of time trails during the day, then have the finals with a single elimination event during the evening. This way everyone gets to run their racers some, get a feel for the track and then decide if they (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
