  GFLTC at the Mindstorms Mall Tour last Saturday
 
Hi all, The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club had a display at the LEGO Mindstorms Mall Tour in St. Petersburg, Florida last Saturday (Nov. 4). We (KK and I) had a great time and had allot of positive feedback from the public and the LEGO people. Here (...) Hey all, What can I say? It was fun. Tim Courtney, Chris Maddison and I brought some stuff; Suz brought her lego magnets, which were a big hit and sold quite a few. Greetings Florida LEGO Fans, In less then two week the Brick’n Fun Fest kicks off in Orlando, Florida! The home base of the fest is the Greater Florida LEGO Train Club display at the Great American Train Show. We will have our main display plus (...) Hi all, The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club will have a large display at the H & R Trains Fall Show, October 6-7-8 2000 in Pinellas Park, Florida. I would like to apologize to those waiting to receive their ambassador cars back from the G2K event sponsored by PNLTC. On Saturday, August 19, PNLTC broke the previous record for longest LEGO train track, about 1780 feet. The new world record stands at 3343 feet! It took 42 minutes to travel the distance. One small 'nit' to pick: That's not a "suspension" bridge, it's actually a "cable-stayed" bridge. Similar idea, but different implementations. A true suspension bridge would have two (or four) main cables, with vertical 'suspenders' between the main (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.events)
