I really like this idea, and would love to see it happen. I'd buy some, if it
were priced reasonably (say $10-$12 for a 100-item package).
To help determine which color is which, without getting into naming colors, an
alteration might be something like this: say there are 6 different shades of
medium blue. Create a 1x2 in the lightest of that hue, 1x3 in the next darkest,
1x4 in the next, 2x2 in the next, 2x3 in the next, and 2x4 in the next, and so
on.
Obviously there's a bit more logistics involved, but it would help with
differentiation of shades, as long as all packs used the same color/size scheme.

These are just a couple of questions I run into from time to time. I've often heard suggestions for somebody to (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.dear-lego) !
