The cord that connects the Trains speed regulator to the wall outlet is made in China for the LEGO Group. (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

Bummer of the Week: LEGO Made in China

I experienced two LEGO "firsts" a couple of weeks ago - I visited the local Zany Brainy store for the first time to check out their LEGO selection and while there I discovered the first sets that I had seen stamped with the words I cringe at, "MADE (...)   Re: I can't tolerate this *juniorization* Either

(...) <clip> (...) I have to agree with Tim. If the Shop@Home prices were more reasonable, more bulk (Sam's Club) prices, then I would spend my money there. Now I wait until sets at the retail stores go on deep discount to buy Lego. 50%-75% off (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I was not aware of this, and I must say that I'm VERY greatful for the link (sincerely... thank you Mike). This will come in very handy, but I can still see the possibilities for larger sheets (sizes that most home printers are not capable of (...) "Jonathan B. McKay" <vebblejm@aol.com> wrote in message news:GJ4Ito.DnJ@lugnet.com... (...) Yup. My one gripe about LEGO Direct is the bulk brick prices.   Bionicle: Juniorized?

(...) Yes, I have made some great original creations by combining multiple Bionicle sets. It's fun and there are many possibilities. Have _you_ tried building something with Bionicle? (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: ??? New Theme Proposal ???

(...) Agreed. With the four sculptures that are out there, I think that this is a concept who's time has come. But I think the current sculptures are WAY overpriced, i.e. the 3724 Dragon is the closest in part count, and they have it priced at an (...) (...) My name is Jonathan Mckay, I am also 13, with many of the same gripes. (...) Bulk=3033 1200 piece brick bucket. When you buy these wholesale from lego they are 12.99 for 1 brick bucket.
