  Questions about creator

Well since we now have pictures of the 2001 German catalog see: (URL) want someone to explain the new Lego Creator line to me. On one hand it seems to be positioned to replace Lego Basic. Yet the new minifigures compete with the scale of the current (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) Sorry. I only have a few pics up of some of my earlier vehicles. Take a look at: www.personal.psu.edu.../m/w/mwl2/ Lego_homepage.html Will have to see what I can do soon concerning pictures of houses. Cheers, WES (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Please re-release the old baseplates!!

I was looking through a small Lego catalog from 1991 and was wishing for some more baseplate choices. The runway plates would be great to have again <set:5158> and <set:5159>. Of course, the most sought after would be the black space landing plates (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: My best day yet at shop.lego.com...

LOL, true -very true. It takes forever to load - and just when you think its done NOPE, gotta download the menus! ARG!!!! I do not understand the website - I just stick to the cataolg, they have lots more stuff in there anyway! I have only ordered (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

My best day yet at shop.lego.com...

Sorry but that isn't saying much. All that means is I finally was able to take an order to completion. Even so some of the fun today included... 1. My browser dieing twice. 2. Pages that are excrutiatingly long to load. 3. Items that don't seem to (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) <snip> (...) Sounds fabulous! Would love to see some pictures. I think your creations would be very appropriate for the town building contest too. Your creations could fit in various regular categories or you could choose to place them in the (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) But, consider that Belville is part of LEGO SYSTEM. There is no reason to limit oneself to the pieces that come with the Belville sets. I currently have a doll house and a barn sitting on a desk all built to Belville scale. The house is three (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) While I haven't read HP yet (but my daughter has), I can speak about Belville, which I like. And does my daughter (13), who also likes Scala (I kiddingly curse TLC for duplicate doll themes;) Although the palettes of both are a bit off for my (...)   Re: Future of Belville

(...) Yes, and the built-in mystical theme, including props and designs might make it more attractive. It's no big deal to squirt dark grey plastic into a Belville mold rather than pink or purple. (...) Yes, but now that I think of it, the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) An interesting twist on the Belville format and theme, to be sure. I'm not sure I would like to see Harry Potter et. al. taking over Belville anymore than the other commentators in that thread, but I can see where the Belville scale would give (...)   Re: Harry Potter speculation

(...) Agreed. It depends on how Warner Bros. feels about Lego interpretation of the work. Warner seems to have most of the domestic (U.S.) merchandising for HP tied up with some sort of an agreement to approve or disapprove licensed items based on (...)   Re: Harry Potter speculation

(...) "leaning in the Belville direction" ??? ?Really? --What do you base that on? Wouldn't it be hard to create a train large enough for those silly Belville characters. Also, I would have never thought that if Lego purchased a licensing agreement (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Harry Potter speculation

Actually, I think the Hogwarts Express is a VERY likely candidate for inclusion in the HP Lego series, but probably NOT as a 9v train line item. Think Time Twisters Twisted Time Train (6497) rather than true Lego 9v Train. Lego is thinking for sets (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Plastic Composition?

(...) G'day Nathan, This sounds like something you may want to ask LEGO Customer Satisfaction about. If it's a manufacturing defect, they'll probably replace the pieces for you. Hopefully the new ones won't crack either! In the Classic Space days, (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Plastic Composition?

I got an 8448 for Christmas and many pieces cracked, I figured it was simply the size of the model putting too much stress on the plastic. BTW, I posted the full story on that in .technic and have got no replys yet:) Looking at my Life on Mars (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Lego Revamps( was Re: Ultimate castle theme..)

In lugnet.castle, Ed T. Toton III writes: <snip> (...) I agree, in general. In fact, your ideas are remarkably similar to some thoughts I had a few weeks ago, so I'll toss in mine too: A basic underlying precept I have is my belief that, if Lego (...)   Re: Got some new news on Enfield Plant closing
