That's a pretty good idea. Replace the 2x2 tile with a 3x2 plate w/
round-end and hole (ex: <http://home.att.net/~partsref/images/3176.gif>)
and you're in business.
The trailer still sits a bit too high, but at least adding the hitch
mechanism isn't contributing to that problem.
