 Dear LEGO / 1952 (-10)
Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

(...) A bunch of asses? How much more of this sort of beligerent junk are you going to spew? And Todd, how much more are you going to put up with? (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

(...) Not at all if its true. This is merely an assertion on your part. TLC has stated nothing here to that effect. But if you think its wonderful, why do you resist the idea? No ifs, ands, or buts -- just get behind the ideas you support. Choose. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Future Business Partners

Dear Lego: Pick your future business partners VERY carefully. Some who may appear to be favored by AFOL are, in fact, disparaged in private communications. AFOL will resist doing business with these people unless they are left without an (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) What?! Troy is a good guy because he buys up LEGO sets from the stores and re- sells them, but Larry is a bad guy because he has a project which requires many corridor sections, so he buys a bunch of Nebula Outposts for his own use? Or I'm a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I don't think it's a ridiculous thing to ask at all. It's only unreasonable, that's all. Not that it wouldn't be wonderful -- it's just not going to happen if the reason for TLC's having set up the outlet stores is to minimize hemorrhaging due (...)   Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

(...) Given a bunch of asses and this nice fellow, why not pick him? At least its exclusively what he does. Its not about buying the sets for resell for me. Its about TLC giving everyone an even chance, that's all. Why is that so ridiculous a thing (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Or, alternatively, it may have been a significant factor in shaping Lego Direct. In any case, I think Brad is (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Of course, we thought we had a shot at this consortium thing last year through Denmark, but nothing ever came of it. And someone mentioned the Constitution set in this thread - were there really Constitution sets available??? I would like to (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

I've got a few thoughts here (like I haven't already): The fact that the outlet will not ship to nearby customers sucks. There is no good reason to limit where they ship. If that is a policy of TLC, hopefully they will can that policy as a result of (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !
