A side note: The contents of any particular bag in a medium- to large-sized
LEGO set can change over time on different production runs. I've seen it
happen many times -- one copy of the set has, say, a 2x3 black brick in the
same bag as a 2x4 yellow brick, another copy from a different production run
(sometimes even bought at the same store at the same time) has the 2x3 black
brick in a different bag as the 2x4 yellow brick.
The first time that happened to me, it scared me off enough not to bother
tracking the contents of the bags. After another 10-20 times, it really
sunk in.
Sub-containers are a bit of a different story, though -- things like the
sub-box in 8277, and the multiple sub-sets of 7171, and the multiple sub-
polybags of 8002 and 6326. AFAIK, the contents of those don't change over
time...

| I couldn't find a definitive prior discussion to followup-to, so I'm posting this fresh. So far, the general standard set of fields for an inventory has been: Part Name Part Number (where available) Color Quantity I'd like to suggest another field (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.db.inv)
