  Re: Peeron access

(...) Thanks Mark, but I tried (again) both home and at work without success. Could there be difference caused by access type: I use ADSL connection ? (So I could be potentially a big slurper...) BTW, I tried another anonymizer which uses less (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Peeron access

(...) Thanks Dan to open your site again. For the slurpers, they perhaps try to have an offline copy of your site. Is there a way to get it as a downloadable database ? Or you prefer to keep it only available online ? Philippe, I have Wanadoo as (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Bag info on peeron.com

(...) I think that bag info is useful where the bags were organized and marked by lego as seperate entities. In some sets, the bags are merely a packaging convience on the part of TLC manufacturing and there is no guarantee that two copies of the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  RE: Bag info on peeron.com

Dan I think it is a good idea to do away with them, personally. It is easier seeing 6 of something instead of 1 + 3 + 2. Thanx, Mark Millère LUGnet # 525 Visit Milissa's LEGO(tm) store, Millère's Spares (URL) -----Original Message----- From: (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Bag info on peeron.com

It would be useful if someone had found a bag or bags missing out of a box, or simply wanted to know what they could part out first from a set they are interested in. I find it useful information to know, although I've noticed it sometimes isn't (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Bag info on peeron.com

Hey all, Back in the day, when we built the Peeron Inventories, we thought having the bag info included in the inventories will be useful for some people. In case someone sells the seperate bags out of a set on ebay, or something like that. Now, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Slurping at Peeron

(...) sorry - didn't mean to get technical :) "Slurping" is using a program to copy the whole site to your local computer. It's usually done with special programs, though I think you can get the same effect by using a "Saveing for offline viewing" (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Slurping at Peeron

I'm not quite as computer literate as everyone here on LUGNET, so I have to ask, what is "slurping"? I've never even heard of that term before. For all I know, I could've been "slurping" every time I visited Peeron and not even known it. I don't (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

(...) Someone who uses a special program to copy an entire website to their harddrive. Or the program that does the slurping. As you can imagine, slurping can suck up a lot of bandwidth. Steve (23 years ago, 28-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Peeron access

We are trying to allow everyone to use peeron, so we have removed the blocks for the t-online and the wanadoo users. We still have to pay for bandwidth though, so please, don't abuse our trust.
