I'm really trying to keep out of the color debate, but I wanted to post to
make sure the WHOLE story was communicated about this, not just the bits
that fit Ben's opinions/desires...
What Ben failed to mention is that LEGO are using up the last of the old
grays for the modelshops and other smaller projects. If they are running old
gray parts right now, then they are not for retail consumption. (unless
something HUGE has changed since last time I checked!).
Even the Legolands have been put on notice that the amount of parts
available in the old colors is very limited. They have a list and an approx
count of what is left and once that's gone, then it's gone.
There is no unlimited (or even huge) supply of ABS pellets in the old
colors - they are simply running through the old stuff for the parks.
