By that rationale, everyone who drank old Coke -- and hated it when the Coca-Cola company changed the formula -- had a fetish for Coke?

What? ‘Deep wounds’? You need a new hobby. This one’s a threat to your health.

I think he probably means emotional wounds. Please try to understand that a lot of us have very large investments in gray bricks over the years due to the type of sets we buy (for example, Space) or for other reasons.

I can completely sympathize with Matthew on this one. Although I’ve got enough real gray in most elements to last me a lifetime of projects, there’s one thing that I’m pretty upset about and that’s baseplates and 2xN bricks. If the baseplates don’t match, it makes for a very ugly moonscape. And the 10,000+ 2xN bricks that I bought for sculpting a moon crater are now obsolete. I need another 50,000 or so 2xN’s -- but I need them in real gray, not in blay.

It’s not causing me to lose sleep or wake up vomiting, but it is causing me to rethink how badly I want to buy any more new products. If I stopped buying new LEGO products, however, it wouldn’t be to “stick it to LEGO” but simply to spend my money elsewhere (old sets, second-hand) where I’ll be happier with what I buy.

Some of us would prefer you put the adult into AFOL and get over it.

Matt is actually one of the most kind, considerate, thoughtful, mature, adult people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
