Re: LEGO Inside Tour (New theory on color change: stock dyes)

(...) Interesting remarks. Rather than answering the reason for the 'lost colors', I would think this would go quite a bit towards explaining recent inconsistant colors. The purple bus and the goofy shades of navy blue come to mind. Perhaps the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: LEGO Inside Tour (New theory on color change: stock dyes)

(...) Maybe someone visiting the LEGO factory can shed some light on this theory that popped up on FBTB about a month ago. (Actually, I'm surprised this theory never made its way to LUGNET. I guess this just goes to show that there are many besides (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Bulk Packs in New Colors Yet? - BROWN

(...) I took advantage of the big sale as well and recently ordered a number of gray and dark gray brick bulk packs (the 50 count 2x4 packs and the 100 count 2x2 packs)...all were of the old colors. Jonathan (20 years ago, 20-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.color)

Re: Bulk Packs in New Colors Yet? - BROWN

(...) I just today received a bunch of bulk brown packs (3754, 10046, 3753, 3752, 3755 & 3756) from LEGO that I ordered as part of The Big Sale that's going on. I'm happy to report that they are the old brown color not the new. I wasn't sure so I (...) (20 years ago, 19-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.color)

  Official RAL numbers questions.

Hello, A customer of mine is requesting the official RAL numbers for some LEGO colors. He needs them for some presentation and the art-work has to be the exact replica of the colors. The numbers needed are from: Black, green, blue and yellow. If (...) (20 years ago, 7-Aug-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) Here's what I've found thus far concerning Oxford / Shifty / Brick brand. They appear to owned by COKO.   Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) Hi Ed, To tell you the truth, as clone goes, I only know MB and Tyco (and a handful of non-compatible brands, like Tente, etc). Tyco did have a very nice fitup (0). MB's is not so good, but it is improving. Now (1) the large round holes in the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: What colour are the Knights' Kingdom 2 rectangular shields?

(...) From the pic it looks like you're comparing it to the old run of greys. Without having seen what they changed it to yet, I have to agree with Maggie in that this might be the new very-light bley, which will eventually replace all of the VLG (...)   Re: What 5% ? (was Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!)

(...) *Either* way? Now that's just silly. If AFOL's were 5% of the customers (granted, they aren't), and your typical AFOL buys 20 times as much annually as a typical child's parents (not an overly bad estimate, I think), then we're about 51% of (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: What colour are the Knights' Kingdom 2 rectangular shields?

(...) Hi Jojo, It is interesting that you say it is much lighter than the old very light gray. I don't have a sample of the old VLG but when this kitten (URL) came out in [LEGOSet 5944] at first I thought it was old VLG but then I began to wonder if (...)   What colour are the Knights' Kingdom 2 rectangular shields?

Hello! The inventoty at BrickLink claims they are white. But they are not. There is a very distinctive difference between those shields (their back, since the front is printed) and regular white parts. It's not very light grey as found in the Mosaic (...)   Re: What 5% ? (was Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!)

(...) Yes, they lost money in 2003. Yes, this is bad. No, AFOLs still don't count. From the 2003 Lego Annual Report: "At the end of 2004, it was decided to change the business strategy and set out a series of specific intiatives in order to ensure a (...)   Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) It definitely works from what I can seen in the photo. Use of only black, white and neon trim seems to dull down the blue quite nicely. A dash of yellow or even red would probably ruin the effect. (20 years ago, 27-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.color, FTX)
