  Re: New container ship color

(...) I am just glad that such an awesome design will still be available in a different color period. Great news. -Mike Petrucelli (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Silly me, thinking the darker green would be called 'dark green', especially since that was the way the survey was worded... <grin> I just can't even begin to keep track of all these color names! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Container Ship Tower Color? Was: New container ship color

(...) Nope, the only change will be Maersk blue will now be dark blue. Jake --- Jake McKee Community Liaison LEGO Community Development (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Yeah, that's officially called Earth Green. Dark Green is the official name of the "basic" green used for the 32x32 baseplates and Forestmen outfits. (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

Container Ship Tower Color? Was: New container ship color

(...) Dark Blue cool! I wonder if they will change the color of the ships tower? It would be nice to have the control tower windows in another color as well... and the glass... will it be different? (oh, the suspense) // Joe (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Dark Green as in the color of the Gary Payton (Seattle) basketball minifig, dark green as in the links in the "Team Spirit" watch, dark green as in a few new Bionicle sets. Dark green as in (URL) the Empire Builder>... Someone was thinking of (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Too funny. :) See, this is how you can tell I don't rig these things... my personal vote was Dk. Green too! Jake --- Jake McKee Community Liaison LEGO Community Development (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Do you mean Earth Green? Steve (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Actually, that's precisely why I voted for dark blue! :) I've got a bit of dark blue, but I don't think I even own any dark green at all-- I'd rather bolster the strength of an already limited color rather than start working on a whole new one (...)   Re: New container ship color

(...) <grumpy old man rant> Bah! Dark Blue is already available in about a zillion sets, dark green is only available in a couple of pieces. What were you dark blue voters thinking? </grumpy old man rant> I'm still hoping for dark green bricks, I've (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

Nooo...ooo!!!!!! Ok, I am really not upset or anything, but I was really rooting for dark green. Especially since my wife told me that if it were green (her favorite color) then I would have to buy it! This was fun, and I appreciate that Lego came (...)   Re: New container ship color

(...) No, it was Dark Green. (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Yay!!!! A good source of a rare color! As I understand it, what you called Dark Green in the poll was actually just the ordinary Green, right? --Bill. (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Jake, thanks for the post - this question has been on my mind ever since june 10th :-) Even though I voted for Dark Green, I'll order at least one Dark Blue ship. Perhaps next year we'll see the Dark Green one? I bet you can sell a lot of (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  New container ship color

Well, it took a bit longer to get the final results tallied that I expected (summer vacations and all). But I'm pleased to announce that the color chosen for the new container ship is...drum roll please.... Dark Blue That's right. They were neck and (...)   Re: Lilac or Dark Purple?

(...) Corey, I think that any discussion of new colors has been overshadowed by the replacement color ordeal, the hype that has followed that, and the fact that many of the Knight Buses have tonal variations among same parts. I have always looked (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Lilac or Dark Purple?

I expected the new big and mini Knight Buses to be purple, but I noticed the color doesn't match any other color I have. Looking on Peeron, it is listed as Lilac. On Bricklink it is listed as Dark Purple. Is this a new color? Seems like there (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Color Names

(...) That sorta gets tricky marketing-wise. If you have a color called "Red", then change it just slightly, forever-after calling it "Apple Red", I'd think newcomers would start to be confused. IE "What's this stone color? Is it grey? I want grey (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)
