Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Make a clean break. Get the old colors out of the inventory and let's move on. Nobody asked you to continue making CA bricks once you switched to ABS; it's no different here. Producing parts packs in the old colors will just prolong the agony (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Jake did good?

(...) I agree with Tim, and even if the post was broadly about the LEGO company and Ben's feelings about that rather than mostly about color, it still doesn't belong in .general... that sort of thing belongs in the .lego hierarchy somewhere. And (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Interesting idea! It does raise a good question, which color is most important if you could change one back. I'd like to suggest (as a reader) that this part of the thread be moved over to lugnet.color, or at least kept out of (...) (...) I'm NOT EVEN GOING TO ASK why you're posting pics of your mom in lugnet.color (1), especially since it's likely to draw unwanted attention from Mr. Goldman (2) to her, are you sure you actually want that? So let me just give that "'sho nuff" a (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

(...) OK...Terry, I don't know if I've ever met you at a Fest, or talked to you anywhere or anything, but I'm going to say something here that if you have met me, you'll know that I mean this with the utmost respect: You're either more emotional (...)   Re: From the mouth of babes

In lugnet.color, Terry Prosper missed by point completely by writing: (...) It never WAS a fight. (...) No, we can buy Megabloks. Or Meccano. (...) Maybe you mean "most Lugnet members" or "most regular Lugnet posters" or maybe even "most AFOLs". My (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: From the mouth of babes

(...) Like any other debate, most people simply won't say what they think. Judging by the ratio of agree/disagree amongst those who speek, I'd say most are unhappy. The poll on Brickshelf indicates that only 11% think the new colors are better and (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Brown Bricks - Wood or Chocolate?

Re: Brown Bricks - Wood or Chocolate?

(...) It depends on the wood. Wood comes in many different colors, so it's a bit hard to qualify one shade of brown as "woodlike" and another as "not woodlike". Heck, there's even a species of tree that has a distinct purple shade that fades over (...) (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: From the mouth of babes

(...) That's a HUGE call. There seems to be a vocal AFOL group of somewhere between 20 & 50 online, even if thats only 1% of the people that "think like you do", that's maybe 5000 people - a tiny minority of LEGO customers, not "most people". ROSCO (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.color)
