  Re: Color Change background

Hi Jake, I was right! I was betting that although the color change was going to have a negative effect on those who've been collecting for years (like me) I was still trying to see things from a different perspective. I tried to put myself in the (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.color)

(...) <snip...> (...) Jake, A very sincere thank you for (1) putting up with our complaints and abuse, (2) carrying our message back to TLC, and (3) working so hard to bring details back to us. I am certain that this community will never know the (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Possible red change?

(...) It's hard to say. I think it's like the purple bus, a quality control issue. I just stacked some bricks and plates from the red pod with some bricks and plates from a martian set. You can easily see the pod hinges are more pale than the rest. (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Top secret project - we need your help

(...) The straight piece and its curved counterpart look quite useful and could make good bridges. When I saw the set I was put off both by the price and by the two inclined ramps, which are too steep for realistic town scenery and make up a large (...)   Re: Possible red change?

(...) It is difficult to say anything about colors for sure these days, but some variation i colors have always existed and are quite commonn when it comes to parts that requires some flexibility in the ABS. Parts like bricks with clips, (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Possible red change?

(...) I had the same experience with the green X-pod. As I am typing, I'm comparing the red x-pod hinge with a regular red brick and notice the same difference you're talking about. How about yellow? Does anyone know anything about that? Regards, (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Possible red change?

In (URL) Jake mentioned that some colours had been "tweaked", but he did not supply a complete list. Of course, I know about the "new grey" issue, and that change is obvious, but what about other possible colour changes? I bought two red Xpods, and (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: The Knight Bus problem

(...) There's not more than 3 or 4 shades. Someone will figure out how to do this and make money at it. Personally I sort of don't care what color I get as long as I get teh same color for everything I buy. So buy 10 buses, put it into unsorted lots (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Thanks Jake!! You da man :) I still don't like the color change, or the new flesh color heads, but the new bleys make some interesting castles walls when mixed with old grey..... Thanks again! Jen (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

(...) Here, Here! Thats just what I was trying to get across with my post. :) -Alfred Now these are some added lines because Lugnet feels my comment was too short to be accepted. Its silly really, cause I just wanted to say, hey I agree. -me (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: The Knight Bus problem

(...) Yea. It is sad. But it is also a reason to try and step up support. They are really one of the few companies that are trying to get it right, rather than just pandering to us and (more strongly) our children. And by us, I don't mean AFOLs, but (...)   Re: All toy companies are alike! (was Re: In Praise of TLC)

Yeah, Barbie is having a Mattel sponsored affair, jilting Ken out of all those years he's been hoping she'd be his alone. I guess she was not liking him so much any more. Well, sure, others may not need such a discount for major purchases. But {for me}, it's got to be 75% off before I buy my "normal" amount. Lar - get some sleep, or read more carefully. You are glossing over posts and missing key points (nowhere did (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: The Knight Bus problem

(...) I think some enterprising enterpreneur will prove you wrong about that. It might take some discounting rather than full retail before it happens but I don't expect it to need to go to 75% off. (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.color)
