(...) It depends on the wood. Wood comes in many different colors, so it's a bit hard to qualify one shade of brown as "woodlike" and another as "not woodlike". Heck, there's even a species of tree that has a distinct purple shade that fades over (...) (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.color)

(...) That's a HUGE call. There seems to be a vocal AFOL group of somewhere between 20 & 50 online, even if thats only 1% of the people that "think like you do", that's maybe 5000 people - a tiny minority of LEGO customers, not "most people". ROSCO (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.color)

Yes we do have a life besides the hobby, and in the grand scheme of life the Color Change is trivial. But within the realm of our hobby, the change is severely annoying on a daily basis, probably for years to come. That's why the issue can't be 'put (...) (...) So the reason for the colour change is to make LEGO more compatible with Megablok? What a great move! Now people can buy the cheaper Megablok instead and still get the same matching colour.
