  Re: Color Change background

(...) Christian already brought this *very* pertinent issue up on this thread. Obviously (to me) the wiser solution would be changing back the colours (although, arguably not the most profitable at short term). But if no action is taken - changing (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: In Praise of TLC

(...) I think you're missing the point Bill. Your examples don't work here. Rather ask what would happen if Canon makes change to lenses mount [ruining the 'system' & breaking backwards compatibility]. And I don't think that toy x non-toy makes a (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Well even if there *was* a legitimate need, it still doesn't explain how they (the Design Lab) thought replacing grey with bley would help that need. I would be very interested in hearing the logic behind that. I would also be interested in (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Jake, Thanks for the information--unfortunately, you're only human yourself, and only have so many hours in a day to do things--much of which was beyond your control at that time. It appears there are possible issues in the Design Lab. In my (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  In Praise of TLC

Sure, I'm not too happy about the change of greys, though I think in the long run the new greys will prove to be a better color. But I wanted to offer a little reality check here...   Re: Color Change background

(...) Jake, I have said nothing on the color issue so far. I do not have a big collection, so it will not affect me that much personally. And I am sorry that you've been given so much grief over this matter. However, please convey this reality check (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX) !

  Re: Color Change background

(...) Thanks Jake for giving us the full story. I am in the camp that appreciates your diligence and suffering to bring the truth to the AFOL community. Whether I agree or disagree (cough disagree cough) with LEGO's choice, I think you've done a (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Color Change background

As someone who has run into situations like this in business before, I can understand the situation. It's hard to make changes that are necessary to improve the product due to the impact on existing customers. Where Lego missed the boat on this (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Color Change background

(...) I think "organically" in this context means that the broadening of the color palette was not guided by a deliberate, structured plan and was instead allowed to grow to suit the needs that arose over time. Dave! (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.color)
