The following took place today, the 1st of Mienche*, in the Horse's Crown
tavern.
------------
Morgan Kincaid looked over the mixed group of people standing before him in the
tavern's common room. Most of the faces were familiar to him, but there were
some he had never seen before. 'They must be the people His Majesty asked
specifically to come along on this expedition,' he thought to himself.
"As many of you may already know, the king has commisioned an expedition to the
newly discovered Isle of Mist. His Majesty requested that I organize and lead
this expedition, and I have chosen most of you, as the most skilled under my
command, to accompany me."
Morgan paused for a moment before continuing. "We will be travelling to the
Isle in a specially designed Airship that will take us there more swiftly than
any ocean going vessel could. Our main objective is to accompany another party
and help them in thir quest, but the king has asked us to attempt to accomplish
some other tasks, including natural resource surveys. I do not know who the
other party is, nor do I know why they need to travel to the Isle of Mist, but
I shall be meeting with them as soon as they arrive here in the city. Please
make any preparations you need, and be ready to leave within the next few
days."
With his speech finished, Morgan turned to leave to make preparations of his
own. From behind him, a thin, male voice called, "M'lord, hold a moment,
please!" Morgan turned to see an old man with a long white beard and a
floppy, purple hat approaching him.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, M'lord, But I'd like to make a request. My name is
Gustaf Rutland, the wizard His Majesty sent to accompany you. I was wondering
if my apprentice, Einion Brynmor, could accompany us, as well. He is highly
skilled at divination, which would be quite useful for the natural resource
surveys."
Morgan thought for a moment. "Master Gustaf, this will be a very dangerous
expedition. Are you sure your apprentice will be able handle himself?"
The old wizard bobbed his head in reply. "Quite sure. Einion is quite skilled
and intelligent, and much braver than I. He will not be a burden to us."
"All right, I will defer to your judgement and allow him to accompany us. Is
there anything else you wish to discuss?"
"No, that is all," said Gustaf. "I must take my leave of you and begin my
preparations. Good day, m'lord." Gustaf bowed deeply, turned, and left the
tavern.
------------
Well, this was mainly a post to introduce Morgan Kincaid and the rest of the
Caer Gwynnyd expedition members. I made a page with pictures and info on all
the members who attended this briefing at the tavern, so without further ado,
here is the page (click on the images to get larger versions):
http://www.lugnet.com/castle/org/cw/~150/IoM_Characters/
I haven't filled out all the information yet, but instead of doing it all on
one page, I'm thinking I'll start making individual pages sometime next week.
Also, I'll introduce the final group of expedition members either this weekend
or early next week, along with a similar page to the one above. Enjoy, and let
me know what you think. Thanks for reading!
Jeff

| (...) I like the diversity that you have among your group, but my favorites right now would have to be the Phelan Paladin twins. I see that we are finding better and better ways to utilize the C3P0 torso. Your writing is very clear and sets up the (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

| (...) I love the character profile shots- you have a great set for that purpose. And even if you do individual pages, I say to keep at least some character info on the index page. It's nice to be able to scan that stuff for everyone. -- Tony Hafner (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
