Re: Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

(...) That's because people are trying to redefine the term collector and it's confusing people. You might consider yourself a Lego "builder" but to 99.9% of the world, you are a Lego collector. If someone plays with Hot Wheels, I would call him a (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

Heh...I've collected a lot things over the years: bugbites, cavities, pounds...if anyone is interested, i'd love to scalp some of these things :^D (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Worth the wait? (NO!)

(...) I have to ask (others may be wondering too), how you can know all this stuff. I recall about a month ago you stated that you do not work for Lego, but here, you are listing, what I would consider, company organization processes. You even refer (...)   Re: Worth the wait? (NO!)

(...) That reminds of the story of Tom Clancy. After releasing one of his books (the Hunt for Red October I think), the U.S. Navy started investigating him for military leaks. Seem that they felt he knew too much about their subs. Then he showed him (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

Yes, I am a collector, I guess there is no way around it. I call myself a builder. I gotta say, their are folks out there that just buy a set and either build it and place it on a shelf or save the unopened box, these guys are not builders. Eric (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

(...) Too late. The word has already been stigmatized. Two words: Beanie Babies. When someone says "collector" I think of someone who MUST HAVE EVERY ITEM. I certainly don't fit that description, whether or not someone else perceives my hobby that (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Future Castle Legends Survey

Since everyone seems to have an opinion on the new Legends series, I thought it would be fun to have a little poll on which sets we want Lego Direct to release for its next Castle Legends (or Classics, for that matter) offering. (understanding, of (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

(...) Hey if you're going to pick a field where people are encouraged to 'buy them all,' you should have picked Pokemon or even Bionicles. ;) But seriously, the terms "stamp collector," "coin collector," "action figure collector," etc. are all (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

6077 Knight's Procession - six of the coolest generic knights around! 6060 Knight's Challenge - two horse bardings, a peasant, two white dome pieces, etc. 6080 King's Castle - my favorite Castle set. IMHO, the best Lego designed Castle ever. Jimmy (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)
