Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Joel Jacobsen
Well; it took me long enough. Sadly, a bit of writter's block and burnout from trying to clean up the images slowed the process as my moods took an abrupt left turn into .space as may have been noticed the last few weeks (Or not). While it's nothing (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Joel Jacobsen
(...) Thanks, Shiri. I was sick last week, so I can empathize. Not very fun. *8| I'm glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun to work on the story, I just wish I'd have gotten inspired a little faster. With luck, the final episode won't take a month (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Pawel Nazarewicz
(...) Agreed. Cleaning up images is the hardest part about presenting stories. Building and story writing are easy (well - in comparison), but to present it in a satisfactory form is a real pain. (...) Always a plus :) In my experience, the less (...)          Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Joel Jacobsen
(...) It would have been fine if I hadn't used gray roadplates as the backdrop. It worked fine for my non-castle MOC's of late, but for this it just distracted from the 'set' as it were... I wish I could find better forest pictures, though. I'm (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) and if you are after more background pics, have a look in some of your bigger computer software stores, most of the time, they have those discount CD s with games and stuff and usually you can find some CD's with royalty free photos on (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) forrest... (...) CD (...) I agree, it looks like a good start! Well done.. The story seems to be off to a good start and is written well, and the pictures are setting the mood quite well. The only real complaint I have is about the font size.. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Joel Jacobsen
(...) Thanks, Ed. Sorry about the font; I'm using Dreamweaver 3 and it doesn't use 'standard' font sizes so I don't know what equivelent it would be, really. The font is -1 from standard.. which, I think, puts it someplace around 10pt.. or maybe (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Ed T. Toton III
(...) No problem, it's easy enough to do, and I really wanted to read the story. :) Usually for my pages I actually increase the font up a step from default, since higher resolution is becoming more and more common. I also keep Netscape set higher (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Joel Jacobsen
(...) True enough - my laptop is 1024x768, but for ease, I keep my page at 800x600 so that I can see the tool bars of Dream Weaver without them overlaping the page itself. I dropped the font because I thought it looked better. Didn't take into (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Forest of Blood: Episode 2 —Ed T. Toton III
(...) 800x600 (...) the (...) okay (...) Well, you also have to take into account that when the font is small enough that the lines are a single pixel wide, and you join that with a low-contrast color scheme (dark cyan on black), that it's tough to (...)    (...) <snipped> (...) Thanks, Kevin! I handn't thought about those. I usually 'scoff' at such things... but for this, it does make sense.. I ought to find a couple pics out of 10,000 that would be 'good enough'. :) Joel Jacobsen (URL) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)
