    Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Eric Kingsley
(...) Actually it started out as a barracks, couldn't you tell? :-). Seriously it did start out as a barracks. It was mostly just an experiment in finding a use for the new 3x4x5 castle walls. Although I did use 4 of the new castle walls it is (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Bruce Duncan
(...) I have seen several references to making creations more modular. Are you talking about using technic friction pins? I would love to be able to open up MOC's and show the insides of the structures. If you are using the friction pins, what (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Eric Kingsley
(...) Bruce I use technic pins (not friction pins)1 in most of my modular creations like my Inn, Church, and City Wall. I don't have pics of the pins on the in but here are pics of the Church and City wall. (URL) most buildings I use 1x1 technic (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Jeff Johnston
(...) I've found that using the 1x2 or 2x2 bricks with the built-in pins works even better because you don't have to worry about the pin itself coming loose. The other side would of course be a 1x2 technic beam. (...) Actually, those are something (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Erik Olson
Lindsay sent me the A-Wing this week and my worry on building it was, how are the guns going to stay up if they're held in by those wimpy black Technic pegs? Now I know. I have to plead your "we didn't HAVE no stinkin' friction pins". These are (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) <grin> When I was young and inexperienced (1) I tried to build a catapult and used the friction pegs in the arm... What can I tell you, the catapult didn't really shoot that far ;-) (1) wait, what am I now? <grin, duck, and run away from (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Tamyra Teed
(...) I like the new window! the red frame seems to set it off enough that I don't think you'll need the red inverted slopes, though it would be nice to see either way... sometimes it depends more on what else you might do too.. Keep the pictures (...) (24 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Inn/tavern teaser —Bruce Duncan
Eric and Jeff, thanks for the tips on pins. I have some of the 1x2's with the built in pins, so I will give those a try. I will need to wait untill the AucZILLA XI shipments arrive before I can try out the pins and beams. Thanks again! Bruce Duncan (24 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
