    Castle wall idea - using 3 x 3 x 6 Corners —Jeff Shiner
I'm not normally a castle person, but my son asked me to build a castle. So I thought I'd start with the outer walls (not sure what they are properly called). I seemed to have a large number of part #2345s on hand in dark grey (ok... old dark grey) (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

I don't like the slopes at the bottom, though; I think it would be better to have the walls go right down into a wet moat. And the towers don't live up to their (...)      (...) Thanks for the feedback. Military problems in defending or attacking? (...) I agree about the slopes at the bottom... but I didn't want a moat. I'll have to play with them more to see what I can come up with. Do you think both towers are too (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I wonder if it would be harder to get a ladder up to a wavy wall, though. (...) In fact, it doesn't. That principle only holds true if the oblique angle tends to deflect shot into open air. If it deflects shot into a pocket point of the (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

(...) The question is: What do you want? A castle for your son to play with? Well, don't bother. For a kid, it is a very nice building. If you want to build a more real looking castle, the only way is to look for some pictures or drawings of real (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

Hi Jeff, I like this. It is huge and seems to fit together. I like the contrast between the dark grey walls and light grey towers. The "wavy" walls give it an interesting effect. In response to what these other people have been saying about how (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.castle)
