Re: a name for "castle world"

(...) Good point! We should think about that. (...) Hmmm... Stud land, the land of the manly, studly Studs ;-) (...) Yes, we definitely should think about that. How's about "BricKastle"? Or BricKastland? (as in, Brick + Castle + land) -Shiri (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Idea for Castle World Website

I like your ideas, but a few questions: -What units are LUs? (not light years I guess) -How would you determine who wins the war? Army sizes aren't enough, there are cases throughout history where little armies overcame big ones. (e.g. Maccabies (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

(...) Well, in my theme park, I have a castle-themed area. It was originally called CastleWorld, but I though that it was a little too boring of a name, so now it is Castle Hill (and PirateWorld became Pirate Cove). I don't know if it works for a (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

I like the wink to Tolkien, but it seems to me that lego castles are a bit more Arthurian than Middle Earthy. What about "Bricktannia"? Or a variation on Camelot, something like "Camedot" or "Brickelot", but maybe something stupid sounding. Of (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

How about a variation on Camelot--CameLUG?? What about a simple name taken from the address? If the site address is www.legocastles.org, the site name could be LegoCastles.org. Studland doesn't sound too good, because it may appear on search engines (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

On Sat, 22 Jan 2000, Shiri (<ForAMo.FL2@lugnet.com>) wrote at 21:35:12 (...) If you want to go for a fantasy feel, how about trying to combine elements of the founder's names? Just using Craig and Pawel, I came up with Paraig & Cra-Awel. With more (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

(...) That's theoretically a good idea, but there's a problem with that - who are considered founders? Just the site designers? Everyone who offered something, like a map, a suggestion, an idea that turned out a hit? How do you decide if one is a (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  An epoch in my life...

Today was a landmark for me. It marked a new epoch in my life. Today I modified my first lego element! (1) Up 'till now I've seen some really great creations that were created by painting or modifying lego just a little... or a lot... For example, (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) LOL too! That's nice of you, I was just wondering if that wouldn't cause trouble, is all... Anyhow, if you all think that involving names is a good idea, who am I to say no... (especially if you want to include me ;-) -Shiri (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
