Hey Steve,

Let me first say that I am very impressed. For a second attempt, you’ve far exceeded any castle I’ve ever done. Does the castle have a functional interior, or is it just a shell? Either way, great job! In fact, I’ve been looking to do another castle, and this has really inspired me. Don’t be surprised if you see a very similar castle coming out of my neck of the woods.

please, please take any inspiration from my design you can! i got inspiration for many of the other .castler’s creations, so i am glad that i could give back to the .castle community. :-) well, currently it is just a shell, i am still mastering building shells, and in fact, dont have enough of the critical parts yet to build a functional interior, but, that is a goal for the future!

As for landscaping, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’m no expert, but I would think that caslte defenders would want as little trees and other things around their castle so that no one could be hidden from view.

i agree, they wouldnt want too many trees around, but some foliage would be nice, it just looks so drab!

I love the color, but I’m a big fan of light grey ;)

As for the design and accuracy, I dunno. Like I said, I’m no expert. But let me say this. If you were to tell me that it was an exact scale replica of a real keep somewhere in England, I’d believe you.

thank you very much! to me, that is a really big compliment, as i strive to be accurate in my designs.

Great job!

thank you! steve
