  4811 Defense Archer!

Well, it's officially on (URL) as 4811! Looks like it comes with the black-moustached soldier, plate armor, kettle helm, quiver... with 2 crossbows mounted on a little thingy that spins on a 4x4 black turntable, and has a Leo's Crest shield mounted (...)   Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) S@H offers it as 6091. (...) Is there any special packaging? Anything strange? I wonder why we have a different number... Jeff (25 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) I sure hope it is polybagged. Less waste that way, for when I buy tons. :) Anyway, here is my predicted Inventory (matches the 14 piece count exactly): 2 Green 4x4 Plates; 1 Black 4x4 Turntable; 1 Gray 2x2 25 degree Slope Brick; 2 Black 1x1 (...) (25 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) TLC really needs to figure out why their pages are getting caught up by web caches. From two different machines at work, I see two different US catalogs, one with the new sets, one without. Unfortuanately, the machine which sees the new sets (...) (25 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) So we have another account of the 6098 number! So far, I count: 6091 is on: - US Box - US, UK standard catalog - Lego's site (haven't checked ALL countries) - S@H - TRU's system 6098 is on: - US, UK instructions (are these ever any different?) Is there any date on this set being available??? I'm saving my change for an army of these guys!!! (25 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) I Just came from lego.com. In the European Catalog the new castle's name is kings castle and the item number is 6098. In the North American catalog the name is king leo's castle and the item number 6091. Just curious, is the piece count the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) Hmm, most likely, FBOFW, their server isn't probably requesting that the pages not be cached. Let's see what's returned over HTTP: ---...--- % telnet www.lego.com 80 Trying 171.20.249.10... Connected to lego.com. Escape character is '^]'. GET (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) I think that last is perhaps a little unlikely. I'm not sure exactly what the infrastructure of our network here at IBM is, but I strongly doubt there is anything Microsoft between my RS/6000 and www.lego.com. I just did a little bit of (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

Oops, I was confused as to which system showed the old catalog, and now it is showing the new catalog. The machine which was showing the old catalog is one of our central servers, still an RS/6000 though. At this point, I would have to say that it (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: 4811 Defense Archer!

(...) Well if this hits the USA at a reasonable price (polybagged or not), say the normal polybag price of about $1.99, I *WILL* buy tons, especially if I can find them on sale. It would be nice to out number all those Fright Knight 6028's I picked (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
