In case people missed this since it was announced to .contests only... This may well be the most ambitious (and richest, broadest, and potentially the funnest) contest ever staged in the LEGO world that wasn't put on by LEGO itself (and it surely (...) If Lego is going to continue in its current strategy of securing licensing rights, why they did not secure the rights to use the Lord of the Rings characters is a good question. (...) Sounds like each character will have small speakers etc in them so that they can talk and have "battle sounds" etc. Perhaps the 2x4 base is for a battery/mechanism that they didn't want to redesign for each fig so that it would always fit... (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle)

ive got something to add to this (if you don't mind anthony) if you don't have a good digital camera, i personally use an ol fashioned SLR (single lens reflex) and chemical film. I too have an old (really old) SLR camera. I have a few additional comments. I began, recently, to always use a white background. even it the actual picture background is lego. I bought one of those giant post-it note pads and stuck one sheet to the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)
