Hee hee!  Quite a few of my yellow castle era shields have glued-back-on
handles.  Stepping on a Lego shield makes the most sickening "crunch" • sound.
I never had a sword break on me, though.  How did you manage that?  My
biggest broken pieces are the chin guard on the old space/castle helmets • and
of course, the flag and saddle clips.

I was holding on to the blade as I tried to clip it into a minifig's hand.
I didn't press that hard....that's why I was kinda shocked when it snapped!

(...) Bummer! Sounds like you got the sitch back under control with a strategic dab of super glue. In the future, you might try sliding the sword vertically down the minifig hand for a low tension coupling. Just a thought. Aaron (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)
