(...) Hey John, You may wish to hop on over to www.classic-castle.com - there have been many threads there concerning the future of these sets. According to Steve Witt, and confirmed by the recent toy fair, they Dwarf Mine will be returning, along (...) (17 years ago, 3-Mar-08, to lugnet.castle)

Dwarves and Trolls in the US?

Greetings, Does anyone happen to know if or when we might see the Dwarves and Trolls sets available in the US? S@H indicates they are not available in this country. I know the Dwarves mine was a limited release but I sure didn't expect it to be that (...) (17 years ago, 3-Mar-08, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

(...) I think your wife gave you some great advice, the "as is" version is nicely done. I really enjoyed it. Great work Tony. Janey "Red Brick" (17 years ago, 23-Feb-08, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.org.us.texlug, FTX)

  Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

These were built for the upcoming March 2008 "Around the World in 80 Days" themed TexLUG display. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering I'm working with inventory scraps and leftovers.   Brickistan Gateway Fort

Hi, It's not precisely a castle, it's not really adventurers, so wasn't sure where to post...sorry. Advice on that welcome by email.   Re: Can't See The Forest For The Trees?

(...) So after several shows upon shows with NILTC building and rebuilding my trees, I finally took the time to 'tube' them in a similar fashion to yours. Sooooo much better, I have to say. They stayed together like a charm. So I wanted to say (...) (17 years ago, 18-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.town, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Impulse sets

(...) Arargh! While the wizard set leaves something to be desired (can any Classic Castle fan honestly say that they DON'T have enough Majisto 'figs?!) the other set I like for the helmet and armor. While I love the new burnished/polished/brushed (...) (17 years ago, 27-Dec-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Displaying my set collections at LEGO-palooza

Hello! That's a nice way to present your sets. Usually you just see them displayed in showcases or display-staircases or the like. That way the sets are hardly relating to each other. You however show a real Castle world. I like that. Bye Jojo (17 years ago, 22-Dec-07, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

Re: Displaying my set collections at LEGO-palooza

(...) I love your displays. I hope I can do something like that someday. I'm not so great at designing my own models, but I'm collecting a lot of sets. Thanks for sharing your displays. (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Impulse sets

(...) You said what many silently think: The pricing for the impulse sets is not always comprehensible, esp. given the pricing for similar sets of other quality toy brands. I like giving EUR 1.49 - 1.99 sets to the kids every now and then when I (...) (17 years ago, 17-Dec-07, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Impulse sets

(...) I like the looks of the Impulse sets...esp. the Town and Space! related ones! It should lead to a lot of people buying (many) more than 2 of each set.   Re: Winter Meeting

Wow, Dennis! It's a fairly simple model, but it really captures the mood. I especially like your windswept pine trees with the snow on the branches. Great touch!
