  Sword'd!

Even though (I think) Space > Castle, Castle is still a good theme, and I like to induldge myself in it every so often. The other day in French class, my teacher said our big project for this term (counting for 50% of the term's mark) will be to (...)   Re: Spinwheel revised

(...) Jojo, I had not seen the previous spinwheel but this iteration is just splendid! So much detail in such a small creation (like your statues ;-). Thanks for sharing. - /-ndrew (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Wall with a secret

(...) Bruce, Now there is an innovative way of building a wall! And it might be very useful when one's original grey collection is near depletion. (Brings a tear to my eye just thinkin bout thut day...I digress.) Anyway, I like your presentation and (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Spinwheel revised

Hello! After I got some parts from Great Britain (Thanks!) I was able to re-build the old spinwheel in brown. While I was at it I eliminated all non-LEGO parts and rearranged it a bit.   Re: Vikings?

(...) I see these sets and I think, gee, is Lego trying to keep up with Megabloks Dragon series? Then I think, HOOOO Doggies, TLG must have considered my letter to them about how to revive the Castle series by producing Castle sets of other (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

Thank you Anders and Arne for the clarification. (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Vikings?

(...) And I'm not English speaking, so perhaps "Viking" in English do mean what you quote. But the term "Viking" in Danish mean the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic seafaring PEOPLE of the 8th to 11th century, not just the few raiders. And (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Vikings?

(...) I'd say that definition is a bit 'narrow'. As far as we learn from *our* history books, 'Vikings' are the name given to almost all inhabitants in Norway, Denmark and Sweden (and later Iceland and Greenland), maybe excluding the northernmost (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Vikings?

Are you using the term Viking here where you should prehaps be using the term Norsemen ? I always thought that 'Viking' was a term for the Warriors. Various online encyclopaedias seem to agree with this.. (URL) for example. quote : The name Viking (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Vikings?

(...) While this IS the popular thought on Vikings, its not the historical correct one. The Vikings was first of all explorers, conquerors, farmers and merchants - exploring Russia, Iceland, Greenland, North America, and conquering England, Ireland (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Post something 2 Castle!

(...) I think that's basicly what's happened. Most of the forum "noise" is over there. If you ask my opinion, the KK2 debate is a bit over-done there. Too many people take exception to the criticisms of the negative product concerns from the first (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Castle Project latest

Thanks Jon, that means a lot to me coming from you as it was my minifigs jelousy of your minifigs houses that pursuaded me to build a lot of the stuff I have in the first place :) Thanks (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Castle Project latest

Thanks Jason. The houses I've been boilding for a long time ever since first stealing .. err I mean being inspired by Jon Furmans creations. So each one tends to be a variation (and hopefully an improvement) of the last, then stick them nice and (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)
