Re: The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! (A CCC building)

(...) This is great! Like others have said, the smoke and the bucket of water are both awesome, as are some of the shapes you made from the flame pieces. You gotta bring that to brickfest, and see if the fire spreads ;) -Dan Rubin (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! (A CCC building)

(...) Sometimes the best stuff is the simple stuff! I think your creation is wonderful! Like others have already said, the use of white 2x2 round bricks for smoke and the trans-lt blue flame (for water, ironically) is brilliant! And you gotta love (...) Smoke is nicely done, plus the bucket of water being trown at the fire is really cute. The whole thing deserves to be seen! Maybe a couple more people working with the little fellow would be even better. Terry (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

In lugnet.castle, Derek Schin wrote: (snips) (...) It's not only cute, Derek, it's hot! (Okay, sorry, that was unforgivable...) This is really awfully fun for all its simplicity. The minifig is great, and the perfect use for the light-blue fire. (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) LOL! That is great!! He must have been smoking in bed!! The smoke is the best part, making it out of LEGO instead of 'cheating' (use cotton balls like I do) really adds a nice touch! Nathan Lord of the LEGO (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! (A CCC building)

Lenny is always giving me grief for not posting pictures of my stuff. Well, the other night I threw this together and somehow managed to take a picture of it: (URL) Oh no!> It's not exactly a masterpiece, but I think it's kind of cute.   Re: New Knight's Kingdom Prices

(...) Actually the rise in oil prices has the potential to directly affect a number of aspects of the LEGO businees: - Transport costs - Plastics are made with oil and other hydrocarbons - Industrial machines require lubrication - Most electricity (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

  New Knight's Kingdom Prices

I hope I'm not the only one that is slightly disappointed with the new Knights Kingdom. Mostly it's because of the continuing trend by LEGO to make it nearly impossible to buy large quantities of minifigs. They did a nice job last time around by (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Announcing the MOCC

Hi folks, Sorry for whatever misunderstanding there may have been regarding the size of the castle. I'll try to clear things up a little. (...) I'm not quite sure where the confusion lies, but I'll try to rephrase. The castle itself can take up no (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Announcing the MOCC

(...) I think this is indeed a bit confusing. I am pretty sure it is meant that the ENTIRE MOC fits on a 48 x 48, and the castle can occupy up to 36 x 48 of that. (...) I think it would be good to get that cleared up. How about the landscaping can (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Announcing the MOCC

(...) I don't think item two is accurate. The actual announcement applies the 2304 stud limit to "raised landscaping" on which the castle is built, not generic "surrounding lands", which could include, oh, a green baseplate. This is actually quite a (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Castle Peregrine Gatehouse

  Re: Announcing the MOCC

(...) The write-up was extensive (yet interesting to read) so that may be a part of the problem. I agree that the rules, thoa, are not overly restrictive. Maybe a summary post of the rules, would be in order? Here is my attempt at a short summary: (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Site Updated: Castle Stage 3 Photos

(...) It's coming along very well. I like the covered wooden stairway in the back. The walls on hinges are a nice bonus. I'm looking forward to the continuing evolution of this castle. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
