  Re: Norman Keep

Kai, (...) I'm not sure if you understood, the "motte" (as opposed to "moat") was the steep, often man made made, hill that early castles were often built on top of. I know that sometimes when a wooden motte and bailey castle (wooden fort with a big (...) (21 years ago, 21-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Bull's Rock

(...) Hi Ben, I thought LEGO will release one eventually but I guess it just won't happen. (...) Thanks, I glad you liked it. (...) (...) Hi Johannes, Cute and original as always. It's nice and weird to see all those old Fabuland parts again, never had that Fabuland stage in my youth.   Re: New Tolkien chapters

(...) Thanks. (...) I really think that Rowling's description of Dobby either consciously or unconsciously drew on the obsequious side of Gollum's character. So I felt comfortable using this fig as Gollum. Bruce (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Basket maker and knife grinder

(...) Yes, they do still do door-to-door knife sharpening (well, it's not strictly door-to-door, it's more housecall). I saw it on an episode of Good Eats a while ago.   Re: Basket maker and knife grinder

(...) Broom maker is the right name so far as I know - it's the other two I'd question. Weaver, or perhaps just basket merchant if he didn't make them himself.   Re: Pub 'n Shop

  Basket maker and knife grinder

Hello! Again I've built some small things to bring life into the medieval town.   Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) Doing a corner building was a treat. The bricks really make a nice roof, now if we could only get those pieces straight from LEGO instead of Bricklink, we do lots more of those. (...)
