Broom maker is the right name so far as I know - its the other two Id
question. Weaver, or perhaps just basket merchant if he didnt make them
himself. Door to door knife sharpening survived to at least when I was a kid
(do they still do that?). Dont know of a proper name beyond knife sharpener.

| (...) Yes, they do still do door-to-door knife sharpening (well, it's not strictly door-to-door, it's more housecall). I saw it on an episode of Good Eats a while ago.
