  Re: Bull's Rock

(...) :-) Hi Terry, how are you? (...) I planned on that baseplate for a long time to built some kind of structure for the bull's. I just felt that it would fit. (...) I glad you liked it. Thanks Terry for your comment and thanks again for the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Bull's Rock

(...) Hi Ben, I thought LEGO will release one eventually but I guess it just won't happen. (...) Thanks, I glad you liked it. (...) I think LEGO intended us to think as bull's as a wild tribe from woodlands (a new version of the Dragon Masters) and (...) (21 years ago, 21-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Basket maker and knife grinder

(...) Hi Johannes, Cute and original as always. It's nice and weird to see all those old Fabuland parts again, never had that Fabuland stage in my youth. Anyway wanted to ask you, that 'Technic Wedge Belt Wheel' ((URL)) you used there, I never saw (...) (21 years ago, 21-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Lord Of The LEGO goes medieval!

(...) Hey Nathan! Cool MOC! Good to see you join our ranks. SUPERB! Never seen anything like it. Nice use of the Dragon Fortress baseplate. Details rox. Setting rox. Cool use of those 3x3 dishes for the targets! Simple and nice smokehouse! I hope to (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

At some point (finances permitting), I'm going to get some of the inexpensive Spiderman sets (for spare parts). I was thinking, though, what to do with any surplus Green Goblin torsos and legs?... Then I remembered I still have some spare Tail-Tips (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: New Tolkien chapters

(...) Thanks, Jon. To make those pictures I took about 20 individual pictures of soldiers. Then I cut and pasted them into one huge (20 MB) Photoshop file, where I adjusted hue and saturation and put each of them in a seperate layers. Then I would (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: New Tolkien chapters

(...) Thanks. (...) I really think that Rowling's description of Dobby either consciously or unconsciously drew on the obsequious side of Gollum's character. So I felt comfortable using this fig as Gollum. Bruce (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Basket maker and knife grinder

(...) Yes, they do still do door-to-door knife sharpening (well, it's not strictly door-to-door, it's more housecall). I saw it on an episode of Good Eats a while ago. This guy pulls up to your house with a van full of sharpening gear and goes (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Norman Keep

(...) Nice work. I like the wood floors in the towers. Also, an attrative use of that baseplate. I look forward to the finished product. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Tailor's Shop

(...) Dean, You have a nice creation there. I like a number of the details you included, the rubber band for a measuring tape, the shirts along the wall, the dragon plume for a quill, all very good. As you work on your next one, some ideas that (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Basket maker and knife grinder

(...) Broom maker is the right name so far as I know - it's the other two I'd question. Weaver, or perhaps just basket merchant if he didn't make them himself. Door to door knife sharpening survived to at least when I was a kid (do they still do (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) I am very suprised at how small these buildings turned out. They seem plenty big next to the minifigs, but I compare them to my town creations and they seem puny. Still I will probably continue in the same scale... it makes my bricks go (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Basket maker and knife grinder

Hello! Again I've built some small things to bring life into the medieval town. This time it's a basket maker, a knife grinder and a broom maker (what's the right name?): (URL) me, I'm a link!>> (URL) me, I'm a link!>> Bye Jojo (2 URLs) Some more (...)   Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) Doing a corner building was a treat. The bricks really make a nice roof, now if we could only get those pieces straight from LEGO instead of Bricklink, we do lots more of those. (...) Those houses were indeed part of a little village this past (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) Thanks. I lucked out with that stepped roof line. It just sorta happened while I was building and I thought it looked pretty good, so I just went with it. I'm sorry to say that the buildings do not have interiors. I had very little time to (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) Thank you very much. That really is a high compliment. Those occasional darker grey bricks were borrowed straight from Jon Furman's creations. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Pub 'n Shop

(...) Thanks. I know I saw those steep inv slopes somewhere else, but I can't seem to rememeber where now. (...) My pleasure, these buildings were a lot of fun to build. Thanks for the comments.   Re: Wizzards Tower Base

(...) Mike, Yeah, the folks on Bricklink are starting to know me pretty well -- I just spent another bunch of money on more black brick and other odds and ends. Yes, this is just the basement level. Right now I am building up the hillside , which (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Four Shops

(...) Thanks for the compliments. I have heard mixed comments on the yellow. One person said that it looked like a bumblebee house. I like that lion's head as well, I need to try and find other places to work it in. Jason Spears | (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
