    A Problem with L3P Add-On —Nicholas Fezie
Hello everybody. First off, if you haven't seen the pictures of the 2001 sets go do that. Now. Okay, now my question. When I start up the latest version of L3PAO, it works fine. I enter all the settings I want and it works fine. But then when I (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) Nicholas, It doesn't matter what drive or directory you have L3P in, L3PAO should run fine. Open up Regedit (go to Start | Run | type in "RegEdit") Go to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings Inside this key, you (...)         Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On —Nicholas Fezie
(...) All right here are my settings: EXEName: "L3P.exe" L3PPath: "d:\LDraw" These both seem to be correct (that's where everything is). But, oddly enough (I don't think it matters though) the other settings all have my second HD as D:\, not d:\. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

If the help text ends with the following (after you hit (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) Hmmm... good call Travis... unfortunately he said that everything works fine if he runs L3P manually, so the LDrawDir variable must be set (or he has LDAO installed). L3PAO does *not* set the LDrawDir variable automatically though, so that was (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

        Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On —Lars C. Hassing
(...) Right. From (URL) or ldraw.ini It is no longer necessary to set the environment variable LDRAWDIR if you are using LDAO or LDLite. If LDRAWDIR is not set, L3P looks for ldraw.ini in C:\Windows (or the directory specified by the environment (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On —Daniel Crichton
Try downloading the new version of L3PAO - I had exactly the same problem and narrowed it down to L3PAO not passing the full path to the .dat file to L3P and so the error message was that L3P couldn't find the input file but the DOS box clears too (...)
