Re: Final version of my 'playtable' rendering

(...) For years I have thought of modelling a tree or at least a bush, but I haven't come up with an idea of how to "extrude" the raised parts. I think maybe the next generation with cylinders like green "Hundreds and Thousands"(R) is easier; you (...) (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) simple bricks and (now) rare windows. I think that perhaps I'll try to actually model one of those classic trees for ldraw. It shouldn't be *too* hard... -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 13-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Final version of my 'playtable' rendering

Oh well, it didn't become SOTM, but I'm quite pleased myself with this rendering: (URL) a re-creation of a picture in my old Idea Book: (URL) (and isn't anyone going to ask me how I made the trees?) -- Anders Isaksson, Sweden BlockCAD: (2 URLs) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: LDraw and Bryce

Use DAT2LWS or DAT2DXF and then import into bryce. I think you can get both of those programs on the ldraw.org website. If you have trouble finding either or can't get it to work right email me and I'll help out. - Orion (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?

(...) Okay, this machine still can't find that page, but I've got another machine pointing to another bank of proxy servers and I was able to see it there. Wow- Jeremy has much better examples. I may use some of those techniques for my flames. I'll (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?

(...) My proxy server is really flaky right now, leaving me able to read everything in this thread *except* for Jeremy's example post. So I haven't seen his example yet, but here's a hacked-up snippet from a current project. // Code starts here // (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)
