(...) There isn't one. In practice, the more avaliabel memory that POV-Ray can use the less time it takes for POV to render. The speed of the CPU *doesn't* matter as much as the memory. What is the minimum memory a computer needs to render a POV-file with LGEO-parts? 128Mb? 256? more? I know it depends on the size of the file, but is there a sort of guide for it? I need to know for the REND101 manual. Jeroen (22 years ago, 28-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

In January Lars told me that he wants to finish porting L3P to linux first, and then he will focus on the Mac. I offered to help, but he wants to control the code and he has a friend who is a Mac programmer who will help him. I don't see why this (...) (...) Easy answer is Povray. Why? The .pov files are just a scene definition, you actually have to render them with povray (or other raytracer) to be able to see the images. When you render the scene, you can then save it as a bitmap graphic. Martin (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)
