  Loving 1.99, here's what I've seen...

The options for rotation points don't seem to be working 100%. The rotations themselves seem perfect, but the point of rotation selection options are having some trouble. I would assume that the "Part Center" option means that the part will rotate (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) The (...) Jeff, I'm glad you picked up on that. But we're not the company who printed "transparent" in catalogs that are arguably older than both of us. :) James J. (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

At the bottom of my own LDraw page (URL), I've clipped the chapters involving colors and inserted a few of my own color alternatives which should work on either LDraw, MLCad, or POV-Ray. (...) (...) Okay, I'll concede to that... but I'm still calling it translucent ;) J (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: On obscure color conversions.

(...) That's not the way I learned the difference between transparent and translucent. So, I dug out my mini dictionary and looked 'em up: Transparent: "Capable of transmitting light so that objects and images beyond can be clearly perceived." (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: On obscure color conversions.

(...) As long as we're taking the time to be official, we should also be correct. The "Trans" color names shouldn't be short for "Transparent" because transparent means a lack of color. The "Trans" should be short for "Translucent" which means (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: v1.99 impressions and ideas

I have a few requests of my own - in the parts list, when moving a part up/down, there should be a visible insertion point (just like windows does when you move something in the start menu) - the number pad should be available to move around the (...)   On obscure color conversions.

This post is here to start a discussion on color names for obscure combinations made by older programs. In LDLite, a few colors were added to the existing LDraw/LEdit palette. Among them were 21, the glow-in-the-color, 25, the reddish orange, and 2 (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: A really small MLcad suggestion

Move the mouse over one of the buttons in the color-bar. Right click this button and a color-dialog will be opened. Now select the color you like and with "OK" this color will be used for this button. Michael Jay Cal <janno666@hotmail.com> schrieb (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: A really small MLcad suggestion

(...) I agree. I'd put Tan in the first 16 colors too. I consider it more important and more generally used than some of the others that are up there. Problem is that the box is sorted by color number and Tan just isn't in 0-15. I'd also like to see (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: A really small MLcad suggestion

(...) Ok thanks for clearing that up (my dark ages were abandoned 6 months ago). I still would like to see tan as a standard listed color on the bar though. (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  A really small MLcad suggestion

I've been wondering this for a long time now: Why doesn't the standard on- screen colorbar contain all the standard LEGO colors? As far as I know Lego has never made any Light-red, Magenta or Light blue parts (correct me if I'm wrong please). So why (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  v1.99 impressions and ideas

Hey Mike (and everyone else who *loves* this program) After spending a few days using v1.99 I've made note of a few things and put them on a page with graphics to help explain. Things are in really nice shape, but I wanted to throw a couple of ideas (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
