Re: some thoughts on ldraw parts

(...) THIS user of LDraw tools considers decorated torsos of GREAT value. I only wis they were all done or that there was an easier way to do what are essentially bitmaps tiled onto a flat surface. Too bad the LDraw standard didn't allow for tiling (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: "Step" mode for MLCad?

(...) Not really viable for me. I'm a mouser and I don't have the keyboard memory space to remember LEdit commands, although I have lots of visual memory space left to remember what MLCad icons mead. Plus running two different editors against the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: "Step" mode for MLCad?

(...) [...] (...) Another (and I think better) way to check assembly steps is by putting it in view mode (F2) and clicking in the editing window to display the steps in sequence. For readjusting the fit of _many_ interior parts, I run LEdit at the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: "Step" mode for MLCad?

(...) Having this particular setting shortcutted (via a button on some toolbar, or via a cntl key sequence) would be very handy indeed. I find of the settings, this is the thing i turn on and off the most. I am OK with having to do a cntl-r to get (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: tubing

(...) OK, I have done a similar thing in my PCC which uses yellow tubing for handrails. the tubing needs to be 14 plates high so I changed the length -20 to -14*8 by hand in the mpd to get the length right, then moved/rotated the tubing around in (...)   Re: Parts selector on the left

Maybe you changed the viewing angle?! Press right mouse-key in this view, select "View Angle" and in this sub-menu select "3D". Michael Jaco van der Molen <jmolen@globalxs.nl> schrieb in im Newsbeitrag: 39CB64BD.8174FADE@gl...alxs.nl... (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Parts selector on the left

(...) It's in the Change menu under Settings. Go to the Document tab and set the Default 3D rotation settings to X:23, Y:45, Z:0. This changes the view of the pieces on the left and the camera angle for saving bitmaps of you model. HTH John Gramley (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Parts selector on the left

Hi all, Why are the parts on the left suddenly shown from top? How do I put the view to 3D again? I cannot seem to find it in the settings. Greetingz... Sjaacko (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hakan, look under "Settings", "Change", the "Rendering" tab, in the Edit-Mode Options box, click "Draw to selected part only". I hope this is what you were looking for. Dennis (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  "Step" mode for MLCad?

Hi, In my previous installation of MLCad, I could step through the parts of a model, and MLCad would only draw the pieces up to the part I stepped to. After a re-install, I can't find an option to enable this behaviour anymore, I always see the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Pictures of my MLCad MOCs

(...) I have POV-Ray and L3P but I'm still a bit confused about it. I have used L3P with a bit of success but I couldn't really figure out the coordinate system (I really didn't try that much though) and I'm not real fond of DOS commands. I was (...)   Re: Pictures of my MLCad MOCs

Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO. You can find it at www.joern-thiemann.de/tools; some Demo-Pics too. Greetings... ...Joern Thiemann (...) (24 years ago, 17-Sep-00, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.town, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Pictures of my MLCad MOCs

I have finally posted pictures of my MOCs on my website for all to see. I have posted the DAT files on LUGNET for almost all of them (I haven't posted the house DAT file) so if you want one of them, just do a little searching or e-mail me. I took (...)   Re: parts available?

(...) hiya! (...) I'm not sure if you mean you want to create the LEGO sets in MLCAD, or you're using pieces from those sets for your own creations. If it's the former, there's already a version of the 8448 posted to lugnet.cad.dat.models. Steve (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Resizing - MLCAD/Ledit

1) Open your POV-RAY file. 2) Look in the Upper-Left corner/section. 3) It says [160x120, NoAA] or some other resolution. 4) Click on that. 5) Pick the resolution from the drop-down list/menu. Hope this helps. ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Resizing - MLCAD/Ledit

I have just done my first Pov-Ray rendering using LP3. It has turned out nicely except for the fact that it is very small. Can I increase the size of the model in MLCAD/Ledit? Can I increase the size of the model in POV-RAY? Thanks Carl Watson (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)
