Hi, I do have a remark, witch is at the same time a request. I'm creating a commuter train with MLCAD, and generate a parts list. This list is a common .TXT file. Now, i would like to import this file into Excel, but can't split the 'Color, Part (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to name custom colors in MLcad. I see the "name" field when defining a custom color, but it is grayed-out and non-editable. (...) He has WinXP, so the 8.3 problem is not the case. Neither does he overwrite a read only file (he ensured me). He also has enough diskspace. I asked him for more info, but got no reaction so far. Perhaps the problem is solved. Thanks. Jaco (21 years ago, 19-Jan-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Usually this error message says what it means. There is a problem creating or overwriting the file. E.g. this could be cause because of creating a file with more than 8.3 characters on an older file system, that the old file which eventually shell (...) (...) What OS version does he have? What MLCAD version does he have? Is he attempting to run MLCAD from a CD? Has he uninstalled AND cleaned out windows registery and then reinstalled everything?
